Spring Time in the city

With our early spring-like weather and flowers showing their heads early it is a beautiful time to be in Vancouver. With the Olympics on our doorstep and the world watching we are in a truly unique part of the planet.

We, at Sickelmores, are now bringing in the spring with tulips, daffodils, bulb planters and lots of new fresh cut creations. Remember Valentines is approaching so roses are the flowers of the celebration of love.

Autumn is in the air. What a beautiful Indian Summer which has transcended right after our beautiful balmy (almost tropical) summer weather.

Thanksgiving is coming up and we think now of all the beautiful colors and gatherings for feasts with family and friends. At Sickelmores we are featuring making your tabletop flowers in a gravy boat as a vase which can be used afterwords for your Christmas feast.

Summer of '09

Summer has arrived to our city. Sickelmores has upgraded our website to add (and will keep adding) some examples of our offerings. We are featuring the West Coast Baby Gift sets. These are creatively packaged in a little Chinese take out box and contain a bonnet, nightgown, and little receiving blanket in your choice of pink, blue, or white. If you or anyone you know is adding a new little member to their family, this is a really great gift to go along with any flower arrangements you send.

Car Free Day

Sunday June 14th is "Car Free Day" on Main Street in Vancouver. No vehicles will be driving the street from Broadway to 25th on Main. This leaves the street open for all pedestrians to wander the street and shop at their leisure. Should be fun..come one and all.

Sickelmores Flowers has now moved on down the road. We are not located at 198 E. 15th Avenue (just around the corner from Main Street). We will be putting flowers out front and hope to see you there.

A cold day in Vancouver

We have found some new greens to add to our floral arrangements. They are found native only to a part of B.C. so make our arrangements unique. When summer comes we will always be looking for new and interesting plants to add to our inventory.
